Signs Your Furnace Needs Repair

  • No heat or weak heat — the blower runs but rooms stay cold.
  • Strange noises — banging, rattling, or high-pitched squealing from the cabinet.
  • Short cycling — the furnace kicks on and off every few minutes.
  • Rising gas bills with no change in thermostat habits.
  • Yellow or flickering pilot light (on older units) — can indicate incomplete combustion.
  • Frequent breaker trips or the furnace won't start at all.

If you smell gas or rotten eggs, leave the house and call your gas utility first — then call us.

What We Fix

Ignitors, flame sensors, blower motors, control boards, thermostats, gas valves, inducer motors, limit switches, and cracked heat exchangers (which we'll show you and explain honestly — a cracked heat exchanger usually means it's time to talk replacement). We stock common parts on every truck, which is why most repairs finish the same day.

Furnace Repair FAQs

How much does furnace repair cost?

Most common repairs fall between $150 and $600 depending on the part — ignitors and sensors on the low end, blower motors and control boards higher. You'll always see the exact price before we begin.

My furnace is 20 years old. Repair or replace?

If the repair costs more than about a third of a new system and the furnace is over 15 years old, replacement usually wins on math. We'll give you both numbers honestly so you can decide.

Do you repair all brands?

Yes — Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem, Goodman, Amana, York, Bryant, and others, gas and electric.
